The industry’s demand for quality hot rod & restoration technicians continues to rise. We have had great success in placing our trained graduates in shops all over the country, but more and more shops continue to call looking for educated entry-level employees. Unfortunately a problem exists; we don’t have a lot of graduates out there without a job, so most shops get put onto the waiting list. We only hope the positions are still available once we do have a graduate from (or willing to move to) the shop’s general location.

During the last week of July, we received word on our Federal Financial Aid approval process. Our initial application and audited financial statements were … denied. We will have to reapply with our 2012 audited financials; unfortunately we will have to wait until the end of the 2012 fiscal year to start the audit. This makes the March 2013 the first possible date that we might have approval to accept federal financial aid.

Hello All, Just a quick reminder about Hot Rod Institute's Custom Motorcycle offerings. We have had a lot of questions lately about our Hot Rod Motorcycle class and program. The Hot Rod Motorcycle class (HRM) covers mainly the mechanical side of the custom motorcycle building process. The motorcycle engine, transmission, and primaries will all be covered along with wiring, brakes and machining. Motorcycle suspension and frame design will also be covered but the majority of those fabrication skills would be practiced mainly in Hot Rod Chassis. The combination of taking Hot Rod Chassis, Hot Rod Body and Hot Rod Motorcycle would give a student a great skill set in the actual fabrication of custom motorcycles, not just strictly dealership maintenance tasks. If a student would take one more class, their overall educational program would be considered a HRI Diploma Program and would come with a 5% discount per class.
